It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Melba Jean Sams of Doddridge, Arkansas, who passed away on March 16, 2022, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Lloyd Scott and Aurelia Scott; her husband Kenneth Sams; her son Terry Sams; and her siblings, Frances Ford, Lawrence Scott, Edna Hensley, Joyce Ann Scott, Geraldine Brent, Floyd Scott, James Irving Scott and James Earl Scott.
She is survived by: her children, David Sams (Karen) of Doddridge, Arkansas, Robin Jones (Gareth) of Doddridge and Teresa D'Amore (Mike Chambers) of Springfield, Tennessee; her siblings, Boyd Scott of Syracuse, Helen Hornyak (Paul) of Alabaster, Linda Wilder (Mike) of Montevallo and Brenda Johns (David) of Montevallo, Alabama; and her grandchildren, Jessica Ferrante (Charlie), Evan Jones, Sawyer Sams, Graham Sams and Miller Escarre.
