He was predeceased by: his father Charles Shelton; and his sisters, Janie Bouscher and Thelma Lee McFerrin. He is survived by: his mother Jeanell Best Shelton; his wife Edna Manis Shelton; his children, Kyla Rae Lang (Patrick) and Kenneth Chase Shelton; his grandchildren, Henry, Violet and Eleanor Lang; and his brother Charles "Buster" Shelton.
