He was predeceased by: his parents, Carlisle Major Vereen and Virginia Elizabeth Henderson Vereen; and his brothers, Corky and Charlie Vereen. He is survived by: his brothers, Jim Vereen (Dottie) of Star City and Bill Vereen (Susan). He is also survived by five nephews and one niece.
