He was predeceased by: his parents, John Dale Capps, Sr. and Freda Faye Reidhar Capps; and his sister Regina Davenport. He is survived by: his wife Myrna Sarmiento Capps of DeWitt; his son Nickolas Maddox; his stepson Damon Capps; his brother Roger Capps; and his uncle Orbie Capps.
