It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Jimmy Lewis Horton of DeWitt, Arkansas, born in Ethel, Arkansas, who passed away on December 31, 2024, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Ruby Cunningham Horton; his parents, Mack Horton and Susie Horton; and his siblings, Geraldine Maddox, Nora Watson, Polly Emmons, Max Horton, Sr., James Horton, Haynes Horton, Floyd Horton and Tommy Horton.
He is survived by: his children, Steve Horton and Lisa Horton; his granddaughters, Sabrina and Jessica Horton; and his sisters, Sue Noble, Linda Cummings, Judy DePriest and Nancy Posey.
Visitation was held on Sunday, January 5th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Essex Funeral Home (1405 S Grandview Dr, DeWitt, AR 72042). A memorial service was held on Sunday, January 5th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Memphis or to the Forks LaGrue Cemetery in DeWitt.
