He is survived by: his brother-in-law Benny Eugene Watkins; his children, Mel Mitchell of DeWitt, Scarlett Marcelle Garrett (Floyd) of Rosebud, AR, Carlene Mitchell of Santa Barbara, CA and Preston Mitchell (Rachel) of DeWitt; his grandsons, Brandon Garrett, Austin Garrett, Carson Mitchell and Camron Mitchell; his great grandchild Greyson Garrett; and his sisters, Edna Davis, Pauline McCallie, Mary Clawson and Martha Jackson.
