He was predeceased by: his parents, Johnnie Gunnell and Louise Wright Gunnell; and his brother Johnnie Lee Gunnell. He is survived by: his grandson Dragon; his friends, Tommy Williams, Ted Overton, Harvey Moody and Teddy Bill Muller; his wife Dottie Knoll Gunnell; his sons, John Howard Gunnell (Linda) and Jeff Gunnell (Michell); his grandchildren, Bridget Gunnell Nordberg (Clint), John Denton Gunnell (Paige), William Clancy Gunnell (Tara), Spencer Gunnell and Tiner Gunnell; his great grandchildren, Carter Nordberg, Linleigh and Ruth Gunnell; and his friend Sonny Sisemore.

Memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church, 608 S. Grandview Dr., DeWitt, AR 72042.
