He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Young and Ethel Dillion Young; and his brothers, Howard, Ralph and Carl Young.
He is survived by: his wife Hazel Owens Young; his children, Mark Young (Brenda) of Stuttgart and Terri Pace of DeWitt; his grandchildren, Wayland Young (Renee) of White Hall, Hayley Gardner (Shannon) of Stuttgart and Gauge Lane of DeWitt; his great grandchildren, Trinton Gardner and Hattie Gardner; and his sister Jo Carol Knox of Alabama.
