He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis Smith and Anna C Smith; his wife Elsie Turner Smith; his son Jimmy Smith; and his sisters, Lucille Coit, Helen Pace and Lois Smith.
He is survived by: his daughters, Melinda Smith (Morgan) of Almyra, Tammy Haney (Jim) of Tichnor and Karen White (Donald); his grandsons, Justin Haney (Meg), Holden and Coley Kyle; and his brother Fred Smith of Humphrey.
