With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Robert Simmons of Desha, Arkansas, born in Mounds, Oklahoma, who passed away on April 4, 2021 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert L. Simmons and Elizabeth Kirkland Simmons; and his siblings, William Simmons, Nadine Hamilton, Juanita Gray and Delores Carpenter.
He is survived by: his wife Betty King Simmons; his children, Robert Lynn Simmons (Ann) of Lovington, Randy Simmons (Gina) of Chicago, Illinois, Judy Elizabeth Simmons of New Mexico and Tracy McFerran of Desha; and his sister Barbara Bunch of Southside. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
