It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Edyce Lavonne Thompson of Dermott, Arkansas, born in Alpine, Texas, who passed away on September 4, 2023, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Leslie Hutson and Edyce Inez Temple Hutson; her husband Bobby Thompson; and her siblings, Tommy Hutson and Celeste Rogers.
She is survived by: her children, Meschelle Thompson of Magnolia, Tara Best (Michael) of Farmerville, Louisiana, Tod Thompson of Las Vegas and Tim Thompson (Vicki) of Cabot; and her sisters, Terry Jones of Liberty and Joy Garza of St. Francisville, Louisiana. She is also survived by eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
