With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Cecil Nelson of Dermott, Arkansas, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. He was predeceased by: his parents, Jzelden Cecil Nelson and Fannie M. Perry; and his siblings, R. J. Nelson, Joseph Wayne Nelson, Bobby Nelson and Pearl Nelson Price.
He is survived by: his daughters, Essie Wright (Jessie) of Dermott, AR and Shirley Nelson of Dermott, AR; his siblings, Dock Nelson of Dermott, AR, John Nelson (Earnestine) of Dermott, AR, Timothy Nelson (Marcia) of St. Mary's, GA, Henry Earl Nelson (Carlene) of Kansas City, KS, Delouise Nelson and Shirley Marion; and his close friend Hazel Townsend. He is also survived by eight grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 8th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Bishop-King Funeral Home (1831 South Highway 65 & 82, Lake Village, AR 71653).
