He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Carroll Stover and Mattie Sue Morrow Stover; his sisters, Carol Ann and Martha Susan Stewart; and his son Tim Sorrells.
He is survived by: his brother Roy Lee Stover; his nieces and nephews, Jennifer Graham, Delta Boast, Emily VanderZwalm, Elizabeth Escamilla, Ricky Stover and Douglas Stover; and his grandchildren, Laila and William.
