She was predeceased by: her parents, Marcus Perkins and Mabel Green-Perkins; her former husband Lex Thompson; her aunt Eva James-Corey; her brother Ross Perkins; and her sister-in-law Alma Perkins.

She is survived by: her husband Howard Burden; her sons, Marc Burden (Terri) of Decatur and Jon Burden (Julie) of Siloam Springs, Ark.; her grandchildren, Jayme Burden, Haley Burden, Colten Burden, Casey Burden and Caden Burden; and her nieces, Ronda Weeks (Terry) and Joni Thomas (Mike). She is also survived by extended family and friends.
