He was predeceased by: his parents, Lester Amos and Mabel Chambers Amos; his former wives, Betty Foster and Pat Bilbe; his grandson Brian; and his children, Harvey Amos (Nancy) of Sulphur Springs, Lester Amos (Cheryl) of Decatur, Clark Amos of Decatur, Jerald Amos (Connie) of Colcord, Merrill Amos of Colcord, Marilyn Gosnell (Don) of Tulsa and Carolyn Mercer (Ray) of Bentonville.
He is survived by: his wife Sylvia. He is also survived by 18 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild; and numerous cousins.
