She was predeceased by: her parents, Malachi Simmons and Silla Lavonda Golden Simmons; her husband Frankie Simmons; her daughter Pam Carter; her son-in-law Mike Carter; and her siblings, Gerald Simmons, Glen D. Simmons and Fern Barentine.
She is survived by: her son David (Hali); her grandchildren, Cory (Sara), Ashley (Will) and D. J. (Nicole); her great grandchildren, Maddie, Blake of Umpire, Konner, Camery of Newhope, Haley, Baylee of Burg and Bristol of Kirby; her sister Pansy Logan of Mena; and her caregiver Teresa Gadbury of Newhope. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
