She was predeceased by: her parents, William Lee and Mattie Holder Acklen; her daughter Linda Carolyn Dowd Walker; her husband Sidney Dowd, Jr.; and her siblings, John William Acklen, Hubert Wesley Acklen, Robert Wayne "Bob" Ackeln of Leonard Dale, Opal Mae Acklen, Emma Lee Perez, Mary Alice Chamberlain, Bertha Frances Farvo, Barbara Jane Marcantel and Martha Ann Zukos.
She is survived by: her grandson Sean (Tonya Cowling); her great grandchildren, Sam, Brianna Cowling, Katie Cowling, Carac Cowling, Brooklee, Arley, Riggs and Kleine Cowling; her siblings, Margie Acklen Spoon of De Queen and James Acklen of Broken Bow; and her close friend Mary Kesterson. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
