She was predeceased by: her siblings, Paul Mertz, Willie Mertz, Ernest Mertz and Annarosa Mertz; and her grandson Paul Sowell.
She is survived by: her children, James Sowell of Horatio, Margaret Morris (Charlie Whisenhunt) of Gillham and Rosemary Sowell of De Queen; and her grandchildren, Michael Sowell (Amanda) of Louisville, Willie Sowell (Basilisa) of De Queen and Amanda Davis of Hot Springs, Arkansas. She is also survived by nine great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives, and a host of friends.
