He was predeceased by: his father Cole Pontiac; his wife Priscilla Cole; and his son John R. Cole. He is survived by: his sister Joyce Cole Gentry; his brother-in-law Johnnie of Texarkana, Texas.; his niece Tammy Whatley; his nephews, Todd Whatley (Lesley Lemley) and Shelly Gentry; his aunt Marie Adams of Texarkana; his close friend Jasper Stover (Carlos Hernandes) of Texarkana; and his caregiver Jeri Landgraf.
