He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, James E. Shiver and Violet Giffin; his wife Valerie Jean Garvin; his children, Michael Shiver, Michelle Shiver, Jamie Mazurkiewicz, James Shiver III, Katie Serenana, Jason Cunningham and Joshua Cunningham; and his brother George.
A funeral service was held on Saturday, December 7th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Friendship Baptist Church (1121 N 9th St, De Queen, AR 71832).
