He was predeceased by: his parents, Dale Robert and Geraldine Nalley Simer; his wives, Willie Jean Cox Simer and Mary Jo Simer; his siblings, Glennie Gower Kabinonski, Alan Simer, Ronnie Simer, Milton Vann Simer and Verna Phifer; and his stepdaughter Susan Riggs.
He is survived by: his children, Debbie (Richard Bailey), Darla (Joe Smith), Marcie (Randy Hedge) and Sonny (Tonya Simer); his children-in-law, Richard, Louise Riggs of Chazy, Bobby and Valerie Riggs of Deland, Florida; and his stepdaughter Janet (Gerald Denson) of De Queen.
