It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Garland Alseen George of Dardanelle, Arkansas, born in Transylvania, Louisiana, who passed away on January 13, 2023, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his father Garland A. George Sr.; his former wife Hazel Miller George; his brothers, Larry James George and Loyd George; his stepson Derek Webb; and his stepgreat-granddaughter Hannah Ingold.
He is survived by: his wife Lila George of Atkins; his children, Judy Foley (Paul) of Fort Smith and Joe George (Chi) of Peterson, AFB; his stepsons, Danny Webb, Dennis Webb and Darrell Webb (Stacy); his sister Anna Jo Crump (Ralph) of Portland, Oregon; his siblings-in-law, Frances George of Bartlett, Margaret Edwards of Dardanelle, Leora Thaxton of Dardanelle, Martha Miller of Pine Bluff and Kent Miller (Shirley) of Coleman; his stepdaughter-in-law Jana Webb of Atkins; his grandchildren, Aaron Foley, Evan Foley of Fort Smith, Alex George of Colorado Springs, Colorado and Isabella Cardo of Colorado Springs, Colorado; his stepgrandchildren, Chrissy Webb (Michael), Angela Ingold (Eddie), Breta Morrison (Bo), Staci Webb, Traci Webb, Derek Webb, Alex Haney (Garrett) and Sydney Haney (Seth); his stepgreat-grandchildren, Kyle Ingold, Karissa Webb, Brady Morrison and Brooklyn Maggard; and his great great grandchildren, Jace Johnson, Leilani Ingold and Kailana Ingold. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, other family and friends.
