He was predeceased by: his son Larry McConnelle; his sister Norma Inez Henson; his sister-in-law Sue Spann; his niece Ruth Ann Spann; and his nephew Mike Coleman.
He is survived by: his son Edgar Ray Henson Jr. (Hootie Bear); his wife Kim; his daughter Michelle Lynn Hicks (Chattie Rat); his husband Lonnie; his brother Gene Spann; his grandchildren, Alley, Courtney, Aaron, MaKayla, Kaylie, Andrew, Halie, Carissa, Katlyn, Gracey and Isiah; and his great grandchild Ethan. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
