He is survived by: his wife Jean Slagle-Frieden; his children, Darbi Stancell (Bruce), Denie Patrick (Barry), Jonette Baxter, Jeanne Waltz (Bill) and Jennie Mathiason; and his brother Dale Frieden. He is also survived by ten grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
