He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Brighton Edwards and Mirty Corene Penland Edwards; his sister Elizabeth Burton; and his sons, John Allen Edwards and Ray Sessums.
He is survived by: his fiancé Eddie Evelyn Edwards Lail of Dardanelle; his son Jimmie Dale Edwards of Minnesota; his siblings, Helen (Leon Sinden), Linda (Don Manning), Otis Edwards of California and Jimmie Lee (Patsy Edwards); and his grandson Michael Sessums. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews as well as great and great great nieces and nephews.
