He was predeceased by: his father Ace Garner; his wife Betty Jo Hunt Garner; his siblings, Velo, Acelo, Jethel, Buck Garner, Rosie Limbocker and Mina Jane Hunt; and his grandson Zachary Garner.
He is survived by: his children, Joyce (Robert Evans), Larry Garner of Ranger, James (Brenda Garner), Rex (Theresa Garner) and Mitch (Evelyn Garner); his sister Lillie Yandell of Havana; his sister-in-law Delores Garner of Booneville; and his friend Robert Scroggins. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren; several step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren.
