He was predeceased by: his parents, C. R. George (Babe) and Fanny Compton George; his sister Janette George; his brother-in-law Charles E. Richison; and his brothers, Lloyd Reid George and Buford L. Keathley (Bood).
He is survived by: his wife Phyllis VanZandt George; his children, Dr. Lary Compton George, Jr. and JanAnn; his son-in-law Richard Harmon; his granddaughters, Mariah Smith (Zac), Allyson George and Hannah Harmon; and his great grandchildren, Clayton, Mya Harmon, Rylee Jo Young, Blake and Aspen Smith. He is also survived by loving nieces, nephews, and cousins, as well as innumerable friends.
