He is survived by: his wife Thelma Jean May Matthews; his children, Mike (Kristi Matthews), Todd (Marcie Matthews) and Sabrina; his son-in-law Brett McDuffie of Danville; his grandchildren, Parker Matthews, Drew Matthews, Avery Matthews, Ethan Matthews, Sawyer Matthews, Gavin McDuffie and Brenden McDuffie; and his siblings, Dixie Gabbard of Horatio, Kaye Graves of Hot Springs and Chuck Matthews of Horatio. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
