He was predeceased by: his parents, Luther Virgil and Margie R. Cross Avery; his siblings, Lloyd Avery and Carol Owens; and his daughter-in-law Lisa Avery.
He is survived by: his son Mark; his wife Katherine Avery of Booneville; his grandsons, Scott Avery and Shaun Avery; his stepgrandchildren, Stefanie Traigle, Kassidy Traigle and Mitchell Traigle; his great grandchildren, Landon Avery, Triston Avery and Breann Avery; his great great grandchildren, Aurora Standridge and Easton Johnston; his granddaughter-in-law Camille Yandell; and his nephew Jason.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St. Jude Children Hospital or Christian Broadcast Network.
