He was predeceased by: his parents, James McPherson and Lorene McPherson (McDoniel); and his sons, Mark and Michael McPherson. He is survived by: his wife Linda McPherson (Benton); his son Patrick McPherson (Lynora) of Cushman; his siblings, Billy McPherson (Vicki) of Conway, Jackie McPherson (Vicki) of Heber Springs, Carol Padgett (Wayne) of Little Rock and Teresa McPherson of Hot Springs; and his grandchildren, Keith, Amanda, Fallon, Tandra, Kennedy McPherson, Christin and Mackenzie Holt. He is also survived by five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
