She was predeceased by: her husband Bishop Roy E. Matheney Sr.; her son Superintendent Roy Eason Matheney Jr. (Helen) of Camden, AR.; her parents, Ellis Thomas-Danzy and Ileen Thomas-Danzy; and her brothers, Leroy, Robert, Steven and Eddie.
She is survived by: her former husband Roy Eason Matheney, Sr.; her sisters, Nancy Williams, Earnestine Gales, Emma Burdette and Ola Mae Moorer; her children, Dr. Robert Matheney (Beverly) of New Orleans, LA., Ralph Matheney of Crossett, Elder Rodney Matheney (Lisa) of Conway, AR. and Dr. Roselyn St Etienne (David) of New Orleans, LA.; her daughter-in-law Dana Matheney Crossett; and her siblings, Willie, Ellis Danzy (Aretha), Samuel Danzy (Rowena) of Cleveland, OH., James Danzy (Shirley), Margaret, Shirley Williams, Linda Page (John) and Jewell Danzy Smith (Charles) of Las Vegas, NV.. She is also survived by eighteen grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, other family, and friends.
