She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence Poole and Lola Mae Vines Poole; her daughter Selena Edwards; her brothers, Willie Clyde Poole and David Poole; and her grandson Craig Tanner Darbonne.
She is survived by: her husband Joe Battaglia, Jr. of Crossett; her daughter Angellena Johnson (Frank Marlon) of Natchitoches, Louisiana; her stepson Antonio Joe Battaglia (Megan) of Natchitoches; and her siblings, Nora Johnson (Larry) of Rosebud, Jean Helmer of Sterlington, Louisiana and Nolan Poole (Penny) of Morrilton, AR. She is also survived by seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
