As Ruby departs from our midst, her spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Ruby. Though Ruby may no longer walk beside us, her legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
She was predeceased by: her parents, James Aaron and Lou Nell Prescott Faulk; her former husband Charles Tanksley Jr.; her husband James Larry Smith; her sister Sandra Lee Lowe; and her grandson Sam Tanksley.
She is survived by: her sons, James Kevin Tanksley (Donna) of Hamburg, Arkansas and Charles Dwayne Tanksley of Hamburg, Arkansas; and her siblings, Jim Neal Faulk of North Crossett, Arkansas and Patsy Diane Williamson of Carthage, Texas. She is also survived by four grandchildren, three great- grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
A celebration of life will be held on Monday, February 24th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Jones Funeral Home Chapel (105 W 3rd Ave, Crossett, AR 71635). A committal service will be held on Monday, February 24th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Promise Land Cemetery (765 Ashley Rd 70, Hamburg, AR 71646).
