We are sad to announce that on September 26, 2024, at the age of 80, Roy Young of Crossett, Arkansas passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the quiet moments of reflection, amidst the gentle rustle of leaves and the whispered song of the stars, we shall carry Roy's memory with us, a guiding light illuminating the path ahead. May Roy's journey be filled with peace and serenity, as his find rest in the embrace of eternity.
He is survived by: his wife Melanie Young; his children, Rebecca, Jake and Lucy; his granddaughters, Sarah of West Monroe, Aubrey of West Monroe and Zoey Mixon of West Monroe; and his son-in-law Randall Mixon.
Visitation was held on Monday, September 30th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Medders Funeral Home (1564 State Hwy 52 W, Crossett, AR 71635). A celebration of life was held on Tuesday, October 1st 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Meridian Baptist Church (4593 Ashley 703 White Station Road, Crossett, AR 71635). A committal service was held on Tuesday, October 1st 2024 at 5:00 PM at the Roselawn Memorial Gardens (451 LA-151, Calhoun, LA 71225).
