He was predeceased by: his parents, Elden D. Toon and Mary Mozell Harwood Toon (Monroe Wilkerson); his son Robert Daniel Toon; his former wife Sheila Morgan Dixon; and his niece Michelle Renee Wade.

He is survived by: his wife Janet Swan Toon; his sister Donna Norton (Eddie) of Union City, Tennessee; his children, Eric Sansing of Crossett, Stephanie Goza (Ron) of Crossett and Georganna Cossey (Josh) of Hamburg; his grandchildren, Jordan Sansing (Tynasha), Blaise Sansing, Michael Mayeaux, AddieSue Morgan, Caleb Cossey, Elijah Cossey, Jackson Toon, Lily Toon and Averi Toon; and his great grandchild Ronin Sansing.
