We are sad to announce that on August 19, 2023, at the age of 96, Richard Harry Bates of Crossett, Arkansas, born in Hamburg, Arkansas passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Arthur and Dora Dingler Bates; and his wife Sylvia Annette Hill Bates. He is survived by: his daughters, Sereta Sims and Marolyn Bates; his grandchildren, Richard Sims, Katie Davis and Cecelia Burchell; and his great grandchildren, Kane of Crossett, Kaden of Crossett, Hudson of Crossett, Cora of Crossett and Stella of Crossett. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and friends.
