She was predeceased by: her parents, Garvin Leslie Oden (Jack) and Retha Winnie Burchfield; her husband A. J. Herman Mills; her son Joseph Allen Mills; and her sister Millie Oden Connor.
She is survived by: her children, Rita Carpenter (Hack) of Crossett, Sherry Johnson of Mississippi and Leland Mills of Crossett; her grandchildren, Thomas Carpenter (Jennifer), Kallina Smith (Chris), Lee Johnson (Brianne) and Richard Carpenter (Erica); her siblings, Sue Smith of Crossett, Ann Holderfield (Bud) of Woodlawn and Gary Oden (Glenda) of Camden; and her brothers-in-law, Odell Mills of Crossett and James Conner of Hamburg. She is also survived by 13 Great-Grandchildren, a host of nieces and nephews and her church family.
