Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Cora Mae Summers of Crossett, Arkansas, who passed away at the age of 101, on February 7, 2025. She was predeceased by: her husband Maurice Summers; and her siblings, Flossie White, Edith Lum, Bill Jones, Robert E. "Bobby" Jones and James Fay Jones.
She is survived by: her son Glynn Summers (Debbie) of Crossett; her granddaughter Becky Taplin (Glenn) of San Antonio, TX; her brother Clyde D. Jones of Maysville, GA; her grandchildren, Allison Thyng, Amanda Willett, Kimberly Witzsche, Jaime Dean and Ryan Taplin; and her sisters-in-law, Martha Jones Lauhon and Earlene Summers Rice. She is also survived by 13 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, February 10th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Medders Funeral Home of Crossett (1564 State Hwy 52 W, Crossett, AR 71635). A celebration of life was held on Tuesday, February 11th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the First Baptist Church of Crossett (701 Main St, Crossett, AR 71635).
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her honor to the First Baptist Church of Crossett General Fund.
