She was predeceased by: her parents, Simms Barnett and Ethel Winters Avery; her son James Anthony Mitchell of Crossett; and her siblings, Mark Barnett, Dean Barnett, Dorothy Hensley and Rose Maxwell.
She is survived by: her son Steven Mitchell (Tonya) of Del City, OK; her former husband Jim Mitchell of Crossett; her half-sister Jodean Tew (James) of Crossett; and her nieces, Claudia Freeman (Larry) and Crystal Mills.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, March 11th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Stephenson-Dearman Funeral Home (943 US-425, Monticello, AR 71655). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, March 12th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
