She was predeceased by: her parents, Gaston Marion Higginbotham and Janie Margarit Venters; her husband Harold Wilton Smith; and her siblings, Lavon "Slick" Higginbotham, Frank "Bunk" Higginbotham, Ralph "Pete" Higginbotham, James Higginbotham and Louise Pelton.
She is survived by: her children, Janice Ann Wright (Donnie), Harold Glenn Smith (Pam) and Timothy Lee Smith (Kim); her siblings, Norman Higginbotham, Margarit Riley and Betty Eubanks; and her grandchildren, Christy Rice (Howie), Rachel Johnson (Landon), Amanda Willis (Chalin), Kathy Grillot (Danny), Josh Smith (Amanda) and Matt Smith. She is also survived by 18 great grandchildren.
