He was predeceased by: his parents, Earnest Hale-McClendon and Willa Mae Hale-McClendon; his siblings, Junior McClendon, Dewayne McClendon and Hilda McClendon; his grandson Stephen McClendon; and his grandparents, Walter Hale, Amanda Gibson-Hale, Jim McClendon and Cecilia Taylor-McClendon.
He is survived by: his wife Donna McClendon; his children, Richard McClendon (Sharon) of Crocketts Bluff, Billy McClendon of Little Rock and Celesta McClendon of Stuttgart; his sisters, Annette Hurst (Leon) of Jonesboro, Venita Ashabranner of Jonesboro and Sandra Heard (Terry) of Jonesboro; and his grandchildren, Whitney Witcher, Celina McClendon, Evan Tiner, Jared Golden, Chance Golden, Curtis McKinney and Lauren Richards. He is also survived by 2 great-grandchildren.
