She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry Hartwell and Sophie Mae Smith (Hensley); her children, Darrell Butler and Linda Harmon; and her siblings, Henry Hartwell Smith, Jr., Betty Sue Ward, Patty Eloise Smith, Nona Inez Bell and Jean Hicklin Schellar.
She is survived by: her spouse Gene Elder; her children, Ricky Lee Yandell of Corning, AR., Derinda Sheppard (Gary) of Harviell, MO., Kathy Butler of Corning, AR., Marilyn Hudson (Jerry) of Aurora, IL. and Richard Smith of Oklahoma; her sister Naomi Ruth Loyd of Jonesboro, AR.; her grandchildren, Wesley Harmon, Gary Dillinger (Pat), Tina (Eric), Jaime Day, Rebecca Laws (Bill), Adam Yandell, Staci Ferry and Christopher Hudson; and her great grandchildren, Nathan Dillinger (Gracie), Skyla Laws, Liam, Max Babbitt, Jace Dillinger, Alex Day, Gene Hardesty, Emily Day and Stephanie Day.
Visitation was held on Thursday, November 7th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Ermert Funeral Home Chapel (1000 W Elm St, Corning, AR 72422). A funeral service was held on Thursday, November 7th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Thursday, November 7th 2024 at the Corning Cemetery (401 NW 3rd St, Corning, AR 72422).
