He was predeceased by: his parents, June Etta Fyock Dishong (Fyock) and Wilfred Clark Dishong; his former wives, Shirley Dishong and Eleanor Jacks Dishong; and his sisters, Lois Hoffman and Wilma Jean Bixler.
He is survived by: his spouse Shirley Winner; his children, Patrick Dishong of Cape Girardeau, MO and Ruth Hare (Paul) of Jackson, TN; his grandsons, Paul Hare Jr. and Matthew Hare of Jackson, TN; his stepchildren, Teresa L. Jacks of Albuquerque, NM, Gary Wade Jacks of Wichita, KS and David R. Jacks of Columbia, MO; and his sister Shirley Flory of Butler, PA..
