He was predeceased by: his parents, Jack Hays and Ruby Hays (Williamson); his son Michael Hays; and his brother Austin "Mousie" Hays. He is survived by: his wife Melvieda Hays (Wilson); his children, Dennis Hays of Corning, AR. and Becky Nidever of Pocahontas, AR.; and his siblings, Charly Hays (Jewel) of Cold Water, MO., Louise Graddy of Centerville, TX. and Kathleen Barnes of Fredricktown, MO.. He is also survived by five grandchildren; and one great-grandson.
