He was predeceased by: his parents, Arvil Patterson and Viva Patterson (Miller); the mother of his children Peggy Patterson (Blaylock); his siblings, Deanna Patterson, Nettie (J. D. "Red" Taylor) and George Patterson; and his brother-in-law Billy Blaylock (Patsy).
He is survived by: his children, Debbie Adams (Doug) of Fisk, MO., Ron Patterson (Wanda) of Corning, AR., Steve Patterson (Stephanie) of Poplar Bluff, MO. and Gerald Hartsfield (Michelle) of Rector, AR.; his brother Joe Patterson (Karla) of Madison, MS.; his sister-in-law Barbara Patterson; and his grandchildren, Sherri Hester (Jason), Shelli Adams, Christina Swint (Bill), Angela Duncan (Shane), Matthew Patterson, Joshua Patterson, Hannah Mathys (Tyler), Dillon Hartsfield and Kaylee Hartsfield. He is also survived by twelve great-grandchildren; plus many beloved nieces, nephews, and cousins.
