It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Virginia Padgett of Conway, Arkansas, born in Greenbrier, Arkansas, who passed away on February 4, 2021, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Joe Padgett; her parents, Eldridge Lee McNew and Osa Opal Smith; and her siblings, Patsy McNew and Bobby McNew.

She is survived by: her sons, Steve Padgett (Cheryl) and Jimmy Padgett (Tia); her siblings, Rena Fry, Shelia Smith (Kenny), Linda Burford (Jimmy), Wayne McNew (Barbara), Bill McNew (Karen) and David McNew (Carole Ann); her sister-in-law Nancy McNew; her grandchildren, Scott Padgett, Stephanie Mosby (Joe) and Heath Padgett; and her great grandchild Noah Mosby. She is also survived by cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.

Memorials may be made in lieu of flowers to Cadron Ridge Baptist Church, Children's Ministry, 2980 Old Morrilton Highway, Conway, AR 72032.

“Wow, There are so many things to say. But to put it in a short version, Virginia Padgett was a great neighbor and friend for the 28 years we shared our thoughts on God and of course our families. Our walks always included conversations of the children and the grandchildren. Virginia truly loved her children and grand children it showed on her face when she spoke of them. I have missed seeing her in her yard. Miss You, Joe and your beautiful flowers. Friend. Becky and Hugh Previtte”
