He was predeceased by: his parents, Velton B. Daves, Sr. and Emma Ray Graddy Daves; and his sisters, Carolyn Robertson and Emma Kuykendall. He is survived by: his wife Carol Stephens Daves; his sons, Daniel Daves and David Daves; his grandchildren, Lydia Daves and John River Daves; his sister Janell Starkey; and his grandchild River. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
