He was predeceased by: his parents, Dr Judith Butler and Lonnie Butler; and his grandparents, Hazel Butler and Floyd Butler. He is survived by: his children, Kiaya Butler (family: Donnie, Alexus, Jax Irvine), Ariana Partee (family: Ziruss, Kynlee Butler, Kylan, Kristopher, Cayden Partee) and Katarena Butler (family: Joe Beck); his stepson Ja'Cobey Beck; his children, Ava White (Alonnie Butler, family: Orlando, Aubree Gillespie), Tessa McMains, Britni Sanders and Marti Sloane; his aunt Betty Butler; his uncle Jim Butler; and his siblings, Adron Fred Butler, Kate Butler, Tom Butler, Michelle Butler, Judy Hollinger, Stephanie Stillwell, Vivian Gulley and Christopher Eckert. He is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
