She was loved and cherished by many people including: her mother Conway; her husband Lowell Hare; her siblings, Melba Johnson, Maxine Bostic, Ruby Horton and Ronald Johnson; her children, Caron Watson (Larry), Ronda Evans (Howard), Jerry Don (Brenda), Freddie (Sheena) and Roger Hare; her siblings, Donald, Eddie Johnson and Brenda Rogers (Bob); and her brother-in-law Harold Hare. She was also cherished by 9 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.
