He is survived by: his sons, Steven Swaffar (Taylor) of Maumelle and Sam Swaffar of Sherwood; his stepmother Fran Swaffar of Conway; his siblings, Charlie Swaffar (Joan) of Springfield, Karen Cannon (Doug) of Alabama, Mandy Rush (Scott) of Conway and Melanie Cutbirth (Tim) of Arizona; and his stepbrother Mike Hilman (Sharon) of Conway. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews, great nieces and great-nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that any memorials be made to the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission in honor of Steve.
